கிரீட் சண்டை (Battle of Crete, இடாய்ச்சு: Luftlandeschlacht um Kreta) என்பது இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரின் போது நாசி ஜெர்மனி கிரேக்க நாட்டின் கிரீட் தீவின் மீது படையெடுத்து அதனைக் கைப்பற்றிய நிகழ்வினைக் குறிக்கிறது. பால்கன் போர்த்தொடரின் ஒரு பகுதியான இது மெர்க்குரி நடவடிக்கை (Operation Mercury) என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஏப்ரல் 1941ல் ஜெர்மானியப் படைகள் பாசிச இத்தாலிக்கு ஆதரவாக கிரீசு மீது படையெடுத்தன. மூன்று வார காலத்துக்குள் கிரேக்க நாட்டின் பெரும்பாலான பகுதிகளைக் கைப்பற்றி விட்டன. ஏப்ரல் இறுதி வாரத்தில் கிரேக்க அரசும், மன்னர் இரண்டாம் ஜார்ஜும் தலைநகர் ஏதென்சை விட்டு வெளியேறி கிரீட் தீவுக்கு இடம் பெயர்ந்தனர். சில தீவுகளைத் தவிர கிரேக்க மூவலந்தீவில் அனைத்துப் பகுதிகளையும் தங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் கொண்டு வந்த பின்னர் அடுத்து கிரீட் தீவினை ஜெர்மானியர்கள் தாக்கினர். அத்தீவில் கிரேக்கப்படைகளைத் தவிர பிரித்தானிய மற்றும் பொதுநலவாயப் படைகளும் நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தன. பிரித்தானியக் கடற்படை பெரும் பலத்துடன் தீவினைப் பாதுகாத்ததால் வான்வழியாக படைகளைத் தரையிறக்கி கிரீட்டைக் கைப்பற்ற ஜெர்மானியர்கள் முயன்றனர்.

மே 20, 1941ல் கிரீட் மீதான ஜெர்மானியத் தாக்குதல் தொடங்கியது. ஃபால்ஷிர்ம்யேகர் என்றழைக்கப்பட்ட ஜெர்மானிய வான்குடைப் படைப்பிரிவுகள் வானூர்தி வழியாக கிரீட்டின் பல பகுதிகளில் தரையிரங்கி பல முக்கிய இடங்களைக் கைப்பற்றின. ஆனால் அவற்றுக்கு கிரேக்க, நேச நாட்டுப் படைகள் மற்றும் கிரீட்டின் பொதுமக்களிடமிருந்து பெரும் எதிர்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரில் வான்குடை படைப்பிரிவுகள் பெருமளவில் ஒரு தாக்குதலுக்குப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது இதுவே முதல் முறை. மேலும், ஜெர்மானியப் படைகளை அவை தாக்கும் நாட்டின் பொதுமக்கள் பெருமளவில் எதிர்த்துத் தாக்கியதும் இதுவே முதல் முறை. இத்தாக்குதலில் இரு தரப்பிலும் பெரும் சேதங்கள் ஏற்பட்டன. முதல் நாள் தாக்குதலில் ஜெர்மானியர்களால் தங்களுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்ட முக்கிய இலக்குகள் எதனையும் கைப்பற்ற இயலவில்லை. ஆனால் அடுத்த சில நாட்களில் பல விமான ஓடுதளங்கள் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டு, அவற்றின் மூலம் புதிய துணைப் படைப்பிரிவுகள் கிரீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டன. கிரீட்டில் ஜெர்மானியப் படைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகமானதால் அவற்றைச் சமாளிக்க முடியாத நேச நாட்டுத் தளபதிகள் கிரீட்டிலிருந்து பின்வாங்க முடிவு செய்தனர். மே 27ம் தேதி ஜெர்மானியப் படைகளுக்குத் துணையாக 3000 பேர் கொண்ட ஒரு இத்தாலியப் படைப்பிரிவும் கிரீட்டில் கடல்வழியாகத் தரையிறங்கி முன்னேறத் தொடங்கியது. அடுத்த மூன்று நாட்களில் கிரீட்டிலிருந்த நேச நாட்டுப் படைகள் கடல்வழியாக எகிப்துக்குக் காலி செய்யப்பட்டன. கிரேக்க அரசர் இரண்டாம் ஜார்ஜும் கிரீட்டிலிருந்து தப்பினார். ஜூன் 1ம் தேதி கிரீட்டில் எஞ்சியிருந்த கிரேக்க மற்றும் நேச நாட்டுப் படைகள் சரணடைந்து கிரீட் சண்டை முடிவுக்கு வந்தது.
