:A little indulgent context first to help me recall. Around that time, we at Tamil Wikipedia were struggling with a number of interface issues. Fonts that supported Tamil unicode were not easy to find and install and operating systems didn't have native support. I was editing Tamil Wikipedia from a custom version of BSD unix developed by my then employer (Yahoo!) and was using the Konqueror browser. For a long time, Tamil wouldn't render on my browser. I would type in an online transliterator, insert the text and submit. Will ask somebody else to check if it had come out well. He suggested using Nuka/Betawiki as a better way to get translations done. (Not sure if Gangleri or Siebrand invited me.) He also helped on Bugzilla as well, I think. He was our bridge to anything Mediawiki. Even http://ta.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%E0%AE%9A%E0%AE%BF%E0%AE%B1%E0%AE%AA%E0%AF%8D%E0%AE%AA%E0%AF%81:Contributions&dir=prev&tagfilter=&contribs=user&target=Sundar&namespace=8 seems to have been influenced by my association with Nuka-wiki.
