1993ல் சாகர் பிலிம்சு நிறுவனத்தினரால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட ''அலிப் லைலா'' (ஆயிரம் இரவுகள்) எனும் தொடர், டிடி நேசனல் (தூதர்சன்) தொலைக்காட்சியில் ஒளிபரப்பட்டு பெரும் வரவேற்பை பெற்றது. தொடர்ந்து எசு.ஏ.பி (SAB TV), ஏ.ஆர்.ஒய் (ARY Digital - பாக்கிசுத்தான்), பி டிவி (BTV - வங்காளதேசம்), ஈ டிவி (ETV - வங்காளதேசம்) ஆகிய தொலைக்கட்சி நிலையங்களிலும் மறு ஒளிபரப்பப்பு செய்யப்பட்டது. மேலும் தினத்தந்தி நாளிதலில் 1960 முதல் கன்னித்தீவு எனும் சித்திரத் தொடர் வெளிவருகின்றது. இதுவும் ஆயிரத்தொரு இரவுகளை அடிப்படையாக கொன்ட ஒரு தொடரே.
