2015 இல் புதிதாதகப் பதவியேற்ற அரசுத்தலைவர் [[மைத்திரிபால சிறிசேன]] தமிழில் தேசியப் பண்ணைப் பாடுவதைத் தடை செய்யப்போவதில்லை எனத் தாம் சுற்றுநிருபம் ஒன்றை வெளியிடவிருப்பதாக 2015 மார்ச் மாதத்தில் அறிவித்தார்.<ref>{{cite news|last1=Balachandran|first1=P.
