The term used in the constitution of Sri Lanka, by the Supreme Court itself and in every usage is "உயர் நீதிமன்றம்" not "மீயுயர் நீதிமன்றம்". I have never heard this term being used.
The Supreme Court was not abolished in 1833, what was abolished; the 1802 proclamation was repealed and replaced by the 1833 Colebrooke constitution.
The Supreme court website refers to fact of appeal to the Privy Council being abolished and the SC becoming the final court of appeal in Sri Lanka.
