மொம்பாசா இந்திய பெருங்கடலின் எல்லையின் அமைந்துள்ள கென்யா நாட்டின் துறைமுக நகரமாகும். இதுவே நைரோபிக்கு அடுத்து கென்யாவின் இரண்டாம் பெரிய நரகரமும் ஆகும் . 2016 ஆம் ஆண்டின் கணக்கின் படி இதன் மக்கள்தொகை 1.2 மில்லியன் ஆகும். புறநகர் மக்கள் தொகையையும் சேர்த்து பார்த்தோமேயானால் இரண்டு மில்லியன் கணக்கில் வரும்.
