There are two optional parameters:
- Description field
- The optional description field is used to indicate what part of the article is about the upcoming album. To indicate that the entire article is dedicated to the future album, use
{{future album|கட்டுரை}}
- at the top of the article. If the description of the upcoming album is within a more general article, use
{{future album|பகுதி}}
- at the top of the section that describes the future album.
- Date parameter
- The date parameter is used to indicate when the template was added to the article. An example of its usage is
{{future album|கட்டுரை|date=ஏப்பிரல் 2024}}
