கார்லோ பீட்ரோ கியோவன்னி குயிக்லெல்மொ டெபல்டொ பொன்சி (Carlo Pietro Giovanni Guglielmo Tebaldo Ponzi, மார்ச்சு 3, 1882 – சனவரி 18, 1949), பரவலாக சார்லசு பொன்சி, இத்தாலிய வணிகரும் ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்காவிலும் கனடாவிலும் ஏமாற்றுக் கலைஞரும் ஆவார். இவர் சார்லசு பொன்சி, கார்லோ, சார்லசு பி. பியான்சி என்ற பெயர்களில் இயங்கினார்.[1] தள்ளுபடி செய்யப்பட்ட அஞ்சல் சீட்டுக்களை பிறநாடுகளில் வாங்கி ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்காவில் அவற்றை அவற்றின் முகமதிப்பிற்கு விற்பதன் மூலம் தமது வாடிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு 45 நாட்களில் 50% இலாபம் அல்லது 90 நாட்களில் 100% ஈட்டித் தருவதாக உறுதிகூறினார்.[2][3] உண்மையில், பொன்சி துவக்க வாடிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு பிந்தைய சேமிப்பாளர்களின் முதலீடு கொண்டு பட்டுவாடா செய்தார். இத்தகைய முறை தற்போது "பொன்சி முறைமை" என அறியப்படுகின்றது. இவரது திட்டம் ஓராண்டுக்கு செயல்பட்டு பின்னர் மூழ்கியது; இதனால் இவரது முதலீட்டாளர்களுக்கு $20 மில்லியன் நட்டம் ஏற்பட்டது.

பொன்சிக்கு முன்னதாக புரூக்லினில் புத்தகக்கடை வைத்திருந்த வில்லியம் எஃப்.மில்லர் 1899இல் இத்தகைய திட்டத்தை செயற்படுத்தி $1 மில்லியன் ஈட்டியிருந்தார்.[4]
