வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகள்


வடக்கு சத்ரபதிகள் அல்லது மதுராவின் சத்திரபதிகள் (Northern Satraps , or Satraps of Mathura)[1] இந்தோ=சிதியர்கள் வட இந்தியாவை ஆண்ட இந்தோ கிரேக்கர்களையும் மற்றும் மதுராவின் உள்ளூர் மன்னர்களையும் வீழ்த்தி, கிழக்கு பஞ்சாப் முதல் மதுரா வரை கிமு 60 முதல் கிபி 2-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு வரை ஆண்ட வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகள் ஆவார். வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகள் சகலா மற்றும் மதுரா நகரங்களை தலைநகராகக் கொண்டு ஆண்டனர்.

பின்னர் மதுராவை தலைநகராகக் கொண்டு ஆண்ட குசானப் பேரரசர் வீம கட்பீசஸ் மற்றும் கனிஷ்கர் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில், வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகள் வெல்லப்பட்டு, குசானப் பேரரசில் சத்திரபதிகள் எனும் மாகாண ஆளுநர்களாக பணிபுரிந்தனர். எனவே வரலாற்று ஆசிரியர்கள், வட இந்தியாவை ஆண்ட இந்தோ-சிதியர்களுக்கு வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகள் எனப்பெயரிட்டனர்.

மதுராவின் சிங்கத் தூண் தொகு

வடக்கு சத்திரபதிகளின் மன்னர் நிறுவிய மணற்கல் மதுரா சிங்கத் தூண் மதுராவில் 1869ம் ஆண்டில் கண்டு பிடிக்கப்பட்டது. [4] இச்சிங்கத்தூணில் பிராகிருதத்தின் கரோஷ்டி எழுத்துமுறையில் கல்வெட்டுக் குறிப்புகள் உள்ளது.[5] [6]

இந்தோ சிதியர்களின் வடக்கு சத்திரபதி மன்னர் முகி என்பவரின் நினைவாக இச்சிங்கத் தூண் நிறுவப்பட்டதாகும். இச்சிங்கத் தூணில் இந்தோ சிதிய மன்னர்களின் வழித்தோன்றல்களின் பெயர்கள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. [7]

இச்சிங்க தூணில் உள்ள கல்வெட்டுக் குறிப்புகள், மகாசம்ஹிகா புத்தப் பிரிவை எதிர்க்கும் சர்வாஸ்திவாத பௌத்தத்தை இந்தோ சிதிய மன்னர்கள் ஆதரித்தாக குறிப்பிடுகிறது. [8]தற்போது இச்சிங்கத் தூண் பிரித்தானிய அருங்காட்சியகத்தில் உள்ளது.

ராஜகிரகம் அருகே இந்திரசீல குகையில் இந்திரன், கௌதம புத்தரை வணங்கும் சிற்பங்களையும், போதி மரத்தடி புத்தரின் பல சிற்பங்களையும் வடக்கு சத்திரபதி மன்னர்கள் கிபி 50 - 100 காலத்தில் நிறுவினர்.[16]
