இணைப்பு மொழி

இணைப்பு மொழி (Lingua Franca) என்பது இணைப்பு மொழி பொது மொழி, வணிக மொழி ஆகும். இது மனிதன் முன்னேற்றம் அடையும்போது பண்பாடு, மதம், அலுவலக பயன்பாட்டிற்கென்று உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது. இது நடுவண் தரைக்கடல் நாடுகளில் வணிகத்துக்காக பொதுவாகப் பயன்பட்ட லிங்குவாஃபிராங்கா என்ற கிரேக்கச் சொல்லில் இலிருந்து உருவானது.

இது ஒரு சமூகத்தின் மொழி வரலாறு, சமூக மொழிப்பயன் வரலாறு சார்ந்து அமைகிறது. எடுத்துகாட்டாக ஆங்கில மொழி பொதுவான மொழியாக உலகில் பயனில் இருப்பதால் இது உலக இணைப்பு மொழி என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
