[[இந்தியா|இந்தியாவின்]] [[மேகாலயா]] மாநிலத்தின் தலைநகரான [[சில்லாங்]] அருகே கிழக்கு [[இமாலய மலைகள்|இமாலய மலைச்சரிவில்]] அமைந்திருக்கும் [[சிரபுஞ்சி]] [[பூமி|பூமியின்]] அதிக மழைப்பொழிவுள்ள இடமாக உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.இங்கு சராசரி ஆண்டு மழைப்பொழிவு 11,430 [[மி.மீ]] (450 [[அங்குலம்]]) ஆகும். 1961 ஒற்றை ஆண்டில் மட்டும் சிரபுஞ்சியில் 22,987 மி.மீ.
