புலிந்தர்கள்
புலிந்தர்கள் (Pulindas) (சமஸ்கிருதம்: पुलिंद) பண்டைய பரத கண்டத்தின் மத்திய இந்தியாவின் விந்திய மலைத்தொடர்களில் வாழ்ந்த மலைவாழ் இன மக்கள் ஆவார்.[1] அசோகரின் தூண்களில் (கி மு 269 - 231) புலிந்தர்களையும், அவர்களது தலைநகரமான புலிந்த நகரத்தையும், அதனருகில் வாழ்ந்த வேற்று இன மக்களையும் குறித்துள்ளது. புலிந்த நகரம், தற்கால மத்தியப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தின் ஜபல்பூராக இருக்கலாம் எனக் கருதப்படுகிறது.[2] புலிந்தர்களை, விந்திய மலைத்தொடர்கள் மற்றும் சாத்பூரா மலைத்தொடர்களில் வாழும் மலைவாழ் பழங்குடியினரான பில் மக்களாக இருக்கலாம் என கருதுகிறார்கள்.[3]
புலிந்தர்கள், இமயமலை மற்றும் அசாம் மலைப்பகுதிகளில் வாழ்ந்த கிராதர்களுடன் தொடர்புடைய மலைவாழ் பழங்குடி மக்கள் என்றும் சிலர் கருதுகின்றனர்.[4]
