பெரும் நினைவுத்துணை முறை

பெரும் நினைவுத்துணை முறை (mnemonic major system) எனப்படுவது இலக்கங்களை நினைவில் நிறுத்தப்பயன்படும் நினைவுத்துணை முறைகளில் ஒன்றாகும். இம்முறையில் 0 தொடக்கம் 9 வரையான இலக்கங்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றிற்கும் ஆங்கில மொழியின் மெய்யெழுத்துக்களின் ஒலிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. பின் அவை உயிர் எழுத்துக்களினால் இணைக்கப்பட்டு சொற்கள் ஆக்கப்படும். இவ்வாறாக பல இலக்கங்களை கொண்ட எண்ணானது குறிப்பிட்ட ஆங்கிலச் சொல் ஒன்றினால் குறியிடப்படும். பல்வேறு இலக்கங்களை கொண்ட எண்ணை ஞாபகப்படுத்துவதிலும் பார்க்க ஒரு சொல்லை அல்லது வசனத்தை ஞாபகத்தில் வைத்தல் சுலபம். இவ்வாறாக இம்முறையை பயன்படுத்தி நீண்ட எண்களையும் நினைவில் நிறுத்த முடியும். இதனால் தொலைபேசி எண்கள் , பல்வேறு நபர்களின் பிறந்த நாள், அடையாள எண்கள், இரகசிய குறியீட்டு எண்கள் என்பவற்றை ஒருவர் இலகுவாக நினைவில் நிறுத்தலாம்.
