This article can be better organised under topics like the 'introduction to stem cells' 'research on stem cells', 'ethical issues' and 'uses'.The article topic can also be changed to stem cells instead of tissue biology. Right now, the article seems like a commentary rather than reflecting a scientific tempor. Also, the article gives an idea that stem cell research is headed towards human cloning while the fact is that it is mainly for therapeutic purposes.Hope it can be rectified. "kuruththu aNu" seems a good word for stem cell. it can be suggested in forums for Scientific tamil- A.Ravishankar(ravidreams)

தொகுI completely understand the observations and will spend effort in editing the article. I do not know how to bring about the desired structure in Wikipedia as suggested. I will have to learn it. If someone has a useful pointer I will be grateful. - Udayakumar Nalinasekaren (udayakumarn@touchtelindia.net)

தொகுuthayakumar, I have edited the content regarding cloning in your previous draft as an uninformed reader could confuse stem cell research with cloning and human cloning. We can work towards bringing a separate article on cloning.
Also, you have used the term மனித மரபுக் கையொப்பம் as an equivalent for DNA. I think we can just continue to mention it as DNA or டி.என்.ஏ since it is a chemical name which could not be translated. Also DNA is common to most of the living forms. So using the word மனித could give a wrong impression that it pertains only to human being. Also, the euivalent for the term மரபுக் கையொப்பம் can be genome. It would be even better if we could think of a word like மரபுக் கை ரேகை as a translation for finger print or genome. Because கையொப்பம் means signature giving consent and it doesn't give the sense that it is unique like a finger print.
I don't know whether the word திசுள் is used popular as a tamil eqivalent for cell. In text books in tamil nadu they just mention it as செல். However I liked the idea of coining this word திசுள். As cell makes a tissue, a திசுள் makes a திசு. Good translation.
Then, I have removed the info about a chennai doctor as it lacked details which is mandatory for a scientific article like this. Hope you don't mind it.
I will also be coming up with articles on cell biology, genes and genetics. Hope you can help me with that. Thanks and congrats for your effort to introduce such an important topic in tamil.--ரவி (பேச்சு) 05:19, 1 ஏப் 2005 (UTC)
