Some one can suggest correct translation for knights and baronets. Also the current article does not explain the sir title given to people like charlie chaplin or c. v. raman. I remember reading somewhere that the erstwhile british empire gave such honorary titles to outstanding people. But I could not find any credible online info regarding that.
