அண்மையகம் (கோட்டுருவியல்)

கோட்டுருவின் ஒரு கணுவின் அண்மையகம் (neighbourhood) என்பது அக்கணுவின் அடுத்துள்ள கணுக்களால் தூண்டப்பட்ட உட்கோட்டுரு ஆகும்.

6 கணுக்கள், 7 விளிம்புகள் கொண்ட கோட்டுரு.

வலப்புறமுள்ள படத்தில் கணு "5" இன் அண்மையகம்:

கணுக்கள் "1", "2", "4" மற்றும் விளிம்பு {1 2}

கோட்டுரு G இன் ஒரு கணு v.

v இன் அண்மையகம் என்பது v இன் அடுத்துள்ள கணுக்கள் மற்றும் அடுத்துள்ள கணுக்களை இணைக்கும் விளிம்புகளும் கொண்ட கோட்டுருவாகும்.

இந்தக் கோட்டுரு G இன் உட்கோட்டுருவாக இருக்கும்.

இந்த அண்மையகத்தின் குறியீடு:

N_G(v) அல்லது N(v).

மேலே தரப்பட்ட அண்மையகத்தில் கணு v இணைக்கப்படவில்லை; எனவே இது v இன் "திறந்த அண்மையகம்" ஆகிறது. v ஐ உள்ளடக்கி வரையறுக்கப்படும் அண்மையகம் "மூடிய அண்மையகம்" எனப்படும்; மூடிய அண்மையகத்தின் குறியீடு: N_G[v].

அண்மையகக் குறியீடு தூண்டப்பட்ட உட்கோட்டுருவைக் குறிப்பதற்குப் பதிலாக அடுத்துள்ள கணுக்களின் கணத்தைக் குறிக்கவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படலாம். திறந்த/மூடிய என்று குறிப்பிட்டுச் சொல்லப்படாமல், அண்மையகம் என்று மட்டும் குறிப்பிடப்படுமானால் அது திறந்த அண்மையகத்தையே குறிக்கும்.
