'''அல்-அசார் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ''' (''Al-Azhar University'', " (மதிப்புமிக்க) அசார் பல்கலைக்கழகம்") [[எகிப்து|எகிப்தின்]] [[கெய்ரோ]]வில் அமைந்துள்ள ஓர் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆகும். கி.பி 970 அல்லது 972 இல் [[பாத்திம கலீபகம்|பாத்திம கலீபகத்தாரால்]] இசுலாமிய கல்வியமைப்பாக (மதரசா) நிறுவப்பட்டது. இதன் மாணவர்கள் குரானையும் இசுலாமிய சட்டத்தையும் விரிவாகப் படித்ததுடன் ஏரணம், இலக்கணம், கவிதை மற்றும் நிலவின் பல்வேறு நிலைகளை கணிக்கும் முறைகளை கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தனர். பலதுறைப் படிப்புகளையும் ஒரே இடத்தில் கற்குமாறு ஏற்படுத்தியதால் உலகின் முதல் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் ஒன்றாக இது கருதப்படுகிறது. மேலும் இத்தகைய பழைமையான பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் இதுவரை இயங்கிவருவதும் இது ஒன்றே ஆகும். தற்போதைய பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் மதசார்பற்ற பலகல்வித்திட்டங்கள் இங்கு கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன.
