பார்பாரா பவுல்சன்
பார்பாரா பவுல்சன் (Barbara Paulson) (பிறப்பு: ஏப்பிரல் 11, 1928) நாசாவின் தாரைச் செலுத்த ஆய்வகத்தின் முன்னாள் மாந்தக் கணிப்பாளர் ஆவார். அந்த ஆய்வகம் பணியில் அமர்த்திய முதல் பெண் அறிவியலாளரும் இவரே.[1] இவர் தாரச் செலுத்த ஆய்வகத்தில் முதலில்1948 இல் கணிதவியலாளராகச் சேர்ந்தார். இவர் ஏவூர்தி தடக் கணக்கீடுகளைக் கையால் செய்யலானார்.[2]
வாழ்க்கைப்பணி தொகு
இவர் தாரைச் செலுத்த ஆய்வகத்தில் மாந்தக் கணிப்பாளராக 1948 இல் சேர்ந்தார். அங்கு ஏவூர்தித் தடத்தின் கணக்கீடுகளைச் செய்தார்.[3] Inஐவர் தேட்டக்கலம்-1 இன் ஏவும் குழுவில் 1958 இல் சேர்ந்தார். இது சோவியத் ஒன்றியத்துடனான விண்வெளிப் போட்டியில் ஏவிய முதல் ஏவூர்தியாகும்.[2] இவர் தன் பணியினை மிகவும் அருகிய கருவிகளைக் கொண்டே செய்தார். ஓரெழுதுகோல், ஒளிமேடை, வரைபடத்தாள் மட்டுமே பயன்படுத்தினார்.[4]
அறுதியாக இவர் அந்த ஆய்வக மேற்பார்வையாளர் ஆனார்.[5]
ஏற்பும் தகைமையும் தொகு
பவுல்சன் 1993 இல் ஓய்வு பெற்றார்.[2] நதாலியா கோல்ட் 2016 இல் ஏவூர்திப் பெண்களின் எழுச்சி Rise of the Rocket Girls, எனும் நூலைப் பவுல்சன் பற்றியும் பிற நாசாவின் பெண் பணியாளர்களைப் பற்றியும் எழுதி வெளியிட்டார்.[6]
