ஐஎன் எஸ் நீலகிரி, இந்தியக் கடற்படைக்காக மசாகன் கப்பல் கட்டும் நிறுவனத்தில் 28 டிசம்பர் 2017 அன்று துவக்கி, 28 செப்டம்பர் 2019 அன்று கட்டி முடிக்கப்பட்டது.[13] இது 2024ல் இந்தியக் கடற்படையில் இணைக்கப்படும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.[14]
