2007 ஆம் ஆண்டின் சமுதாயக் கணக்கெடுப்பின்படி கேப் டவுனின் [[மக்கள்தொகை]] 3.5 [[மில்லியன்]] ஆகும். இதன் பரப்பளவான 2,455 [[சதுர மைல்]]கள், ஏனைய தென்னாபிரிக்க நகரங்களிலும் பெரியதாகும். இதன் விளைவாக இதன் மக்கள்தொகை அடர்த்தி, ஒப்பீட்டளவில் குறைந்த அளவான ஒரு [[கிலோமீட்டர்|கிலோமீட்டருக்கு]] 1,425 மக்கள் என்ற அளவில் உள்ளது. கேப் டவுன், [[பிரான்ஸ்|பிரான்சின்]] [[நைஸ்]] நகருடனும், [[இஸ்ரேல்|இஸ்ரேலின்]] [[ஹைஃபா]] நகருடனும் இணை நகரம் ஆக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
