pararajasingham lost all the elections he contested. So how can one who lost all the elections he contested on be called a national leader or even a leader?? - Suren.

Interesting question!! May be the first sentence of the article can bemore neutral. It can just mention the post he held instead of calling him as an imporatant tamil leader--ரவி 12:40, 26 டிசம்பர் 2005 (UTC)

Suren, யோசப் பரராஜசிங்கம் did NOT loose all the elctions he contested. It is true that he was not directly elected by the people in the last election; he became an MP from the list. However, in prior elections he was directly elected by the people with a high percentage of voter preference. Moreover, there is no question that he played an leadership role in the Sri Lankan Tamil community, at a national level. Of course, there were Tamils who did consider him fit for his role, or did not accept his positions. --Natkeeran 19:23, 26 டிசம்பர் 2005 (UTC)

he only won his first few elections, after that he lost all (encyclopedia articles should be 100% accurate, free from bias or personal feelings) - Suren
Winning elections is not an essential qualification for leadership. Mayooranathan 18:58, 3 ஜனவரி 2006 (UTC)

I agree with Natkeeran. --ஜெ.மயூரேசன் 10:02, 4 ஜனவரி 2006 (UTC)
