நான் முந்தைய உரையாடல்களில் பங்கெடுக்காதலால் இது அடிப்படையான ஐயமாக இருக்கலாம். காமன்சில் வழமையாக பதிவேற்றுபவர்களுக்கும் போட்டிக்காக பதிவேற்றுபவர்களுக்கும் ஏதேனும் வேறுபாடு உண்டா ? அல்லது காமன்சில் பதிவேற்றுபவர்கள் எவராயினும் போட்டிக்கு உரியவரா ? அல்லது பதிவேற்றியபின்னர் எங்காவது தெரிவிக்க வேண்டுமா ? அல்லது தனி பகுப்பு (பகுப்பு:விக்கி ஊடகப்போட்டி) இட வேண்டுமா ? இதனையும் அ.கே.கே அல்லது விதிகள் பக்கத்தில் தெளிவு படுத்தலாம்.--மணியன் 14:12, 3 நவம்பர் 2011 (UTC)

1) போட்டிக்கென தரவேற்ற விசார்டை மாற்றி அமைத்திருக்கிறோம். (இன்னும் வேலை முழுமையாக முடிய வில்லை) போட்டியாளர்கள் அதுவழியாக கோப்புகளைத் தரவேற்றினால் தானாக ஒரு வார்ப்புருவும் பகுப்பும் இணைந்து விடும். எனவே தெரிவிக்க வேண்டியதில்லை (அப்பகுப்பினைக் கொண்டு போட்டிக்கென தரவேற்றப்பட்ட கோப்புகளை இனங்கண்டு கொள்ளலாம்.

2) இதன் வழியாகப் பதிவேற்றாமல் தானே பதிவேற்றினால் வார்ப்புரு:TamilWiki Media Contest என்ற வார்ப்புருவை விளக்கத்தில் சேர்த்து விட்டால் போதும், அக்கோப்பும் போட்டிப் பகுப்பில் இணைந்து விடும்

3) பதிவேற்றிவிட்டு அது பகுப்பில் இணைந்து விட்டதா என்று ஐயமிருப்பின் மின்னஞ்சல் மூலம் பயனர் கணக்கு/ கோப்பு பெயரைத் தெரிவித்து விட்டால், அதனை நாங்கள் யாரேனும் ஒருவர் தேவையான பகுப்பினை இணைத்து விடுவோம். அருமையான விசார்ட். விக்கி பொதுமத்தில் TamilWiki Media Contest பகுப்பில் இந்த போட்டிக்கான தரவேற்ற விசார்ட்டுகான இணைப்பத் தந்தால் சிறப்பாக இருக்கும். அந்தப் பகுப்பையும் இங்கும் பிற இடங்களிலும் குறிப்பிடலாம். மேலும், பயனர் புத்துப்பதிகை செய்யவிட்டால், அவர்களை மீண்டும் முகப்புப் பகுப்புக்கு இட்டுச் செல்கிறது. எனவே அந்தப் பயனர்கள் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்பதையும் விளக்க வேண்டும். --Natkeeran 03:02, 22 நவம்பர் 2011 (UTC)

Is it fare?

Hi, I am a Malayalam Wikimedian mainly contributing to Malayalam Wikipedia and Commons. Here I am happy to see that Tamil wikipedians initiated a program to collect various stuffs for commons. But at the same time in my personal opinion, I feel that it is not fair to give some prize money for contributing to any wikimedia related websites. We have to give equal value to everybody's contribution irrespective of the amount of contribution he/she made. Anyway good luck for the program. Ajaykuyiloor 12:46, 20 திசம்பர் 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the opinion Ajay. In the wider wiki community's opinion - of course it is fair. The practice of conducting content creation contests in wikiprojects is widespread across the world since 2005 and they are getting bigger and better organised. (Wiki loves monuments is going global in 2012). This has been discussed a lot of times before and the widely accepted view is this is a good way for gaining contributions and new contributors. The contest angle is just a starter incentive to bring in people who might be otherwise indifferent to wiki projects. Irrelevant contents on front page

Photos related to Wiki workshop'2011 - (Salem) can better be moved to the last page of the Gallery by batch renaming those contents. These photos seems to be irrelevant to the Contest. And may even make newcomers feel annoyance. -- எஸ்ஸார்
