எழுத்துக் குறியேற்ற முன்னெடுப்பு

எழுத்துக் குறியேற்ற முன்னெடுப்பு (எ.கு.மு) (Text Encoding Initiative (TEI)) என்பது எழுத்தை முதன்மைப்படுத்தும் ஒரு எண்ணிம மனிதவியல் துறைசார் சமூகம் (community of practice) ஆகும். இந்தச் சமூகம் 1980கள் தொடக்கம் தொடர்ச்சியாக இயங்கி வருகின்றது. தற்போது இவர்கள் மின்னஞ்சல் பட்டியல், சந்திப்புக்கள், மாநாடுகள், ஆய்வேடு, துறைசார் விக்கி, நிரல் களஞ்சியங்கள், கருவியாக்கம் ஆகியவற்றை நடாத்துகின்றனர். இவர்கள் விரிவான ஒரு நுட்பச் சீர்தரத்தை பராமரிக்கின்றனர். இந்தச் சீர்தரமும் எழுத்துக் குறியேற்ற முன்னெடுப்பு என்ற பெயரிலேயே அறியப்படுகின்றது.

எ.கு.மு வழிகாட்டிகள்

எ.கு.மு வழிகாட்டிகள் (TEI Guidelines) என்று அறியப்படும் சீர்தரம் ஒரு எழுத்தை பொருள்சார்ந்து குறியேற்றப் பயன்படுகின்றது. ஒவ்வொரு சிட்டை (tag) அல்லது உறுப்பினதும் (element), பண்புகளினதும் (attributes) பொருளும் விளக்கமும் குறிப்பாகத் தரப்படுகிறது.

உரைச் சிட்டைகள்

எ.கு.மு எழுத்தை எந்த தேவையான அளவு பிரிவுகளுடனும் குறியேற்ற அனுமதிக்கின்றது. எ.கா பின்வரும் பத்தி வசனங்களாகவும் (s), சொற்றொடர்களாக்வும் (clauses) ஆகவும் குறியேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஒரு பாடலை அல்லது பாவை குறியேற்றத் தேவையான சிட்டைகளை எ.கு.மு கொண்டுள்ளது. பின்வரும் எடுத்துக்காட்டு ஒரு பிரெஞ்சுச் செய்யுளின் குறியேற்றம் ஆகும்.

தெரிவுச் சிட்டைகள்

ஒரு எழுத்தின் குறிப்பிட்ட பகுதிகள் வெவ்வேறு வகைகளில் புரியப்பட வேண்டும் எனில், எ.கு.மு choice சிட்டைகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி அந்தத் தெரிவைக் குறியேற்ற முடியும். பின்வரும் எடுத்துக்காட்டில் choice சிட்டைகள் இருமுறை பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. முதல் முறை சரியான ஆண்டைக் குறிக்கவும். இரண்டாவது முறை அசல் மற்றும் சீரான சொற்கூட்டலைக் குறிக்கவும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
