கரியமாணிக்கம் அம்பலம்

கரு. இராம. கரியமாணிக்கம் அம்பலம் (KR. RM. Kariya Manickam Ambalam), இந்திய அரசியல்வாதியும், சமூக ஆர்வலரும் முன்னாள் தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினரும் ஆவார்.

இராமசாமி அம்பலம் என்ற நிலக்கிழாரின் மகனான கரிய மாணிக்கம் அம்பலம், தமிழ்நாட்டின் சிவகங்கை மாவட்டம், தேவகோட்டை வட்டம், கண்ணங்குடி ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்தில் உள்ள கப்பலூர் எனும் கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தவர். இவரது மகன் க. ரா. இராமசாமி தற்போது தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்றத்தில் இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரசு கட்சி உறுப்பினர்களின் தலைவராக உள்ளார்.^[1]

அரசியல் தொகு

இராசாசியின் நண்பரான கரியமாணிக்கம் அம்பலம், முதலில் இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரசு கட்சியில் செயல்பட்டவர். பின்னர் இராசாசி 1959-இல் சுதந்திராக் கட்சி நிறுவிய போது அக்கட்சியில் இணைந்தார். இவர் திருவாடானை (சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதி)யிலிருந்து நான்கு முறை வென்றவர்.^[2] இவர் 1957-இல் திருவாடானை சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதியிலிருந்து சுயேட்சை வேட்பாளாரகப் போட்டியிட்டு, தமிழக சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் ஆனார்.^[3] 1962 மற்றும் 1967 தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல்களில் சுதந்திராக் கட்சியின் வேட்பாளராக திருவாடனை தொகுதியிலிருந்து போட்டியிட்டு வென்றவர்.^[4]^[5] 1977-இல் இவர் இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரசு கட்சி சார்பாக திருவாடனை சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதியிலிருந்து போட்டியிட்டு, தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.^[5]
