குவாண்டானமோ விரிகுடா
குவாண்டானமோ விரிகுடா (Guantánamo Bay, ஸ்பானிய மொழி: Bahía de Guantánamo) என்ன்பது கியூபாவின் தென்கிழக்கில் குவாண்டானமோ மாகாணத்தில்அமைந்துள்ள ஒரு விரிகுடாவாகும். (19°54′N 75°9′W / 19.900°N 75.150°W). இது கியூபாவின் தெற்கில் உள்ள மிகப் பெரிய துறைமுகம் ஆகும்.
1903 இல் கியூபாவுக்கும் அமெரிக்காவுக்கும் இடையில் செய்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட ஒரு உடன்படிக்கையின் படி குவாண்டானமோ வீரிகுடாவை ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்கா முடிவற்ற குத்தகைக்கு பெற்றிருந்தது. இவ்விரிகுடாவில் அமெரிக்காவின் இருப்பை தற்போதைய கியூபா அரசு எதிர்த்து வருகிறது. 1969 ஐநாவின் வியென்னா உடன்பாட்டின்படி அமெரிக்க ஆக்கிரமிப்பு சட்டபூர்வமல்லாதது என கியூபா வாதிட்டு வருகிறது.
இவ்விரிகுடாவின் தெற்குப் பகுதியில் 1898 இல் கட்டப்பட்ட அமெரிக்காவின் கடற்படைத்தளம் அமைந்திருக்கிறது. கடந்த பல ஆண்டுகளாக இத்தளம் போர்க்கைதிகளின் தடுப்புக்கூடமாக இருந்து வருகின்றது. ஆப்கானிஸ்தான், ஈராக் மற்றும் ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் இங்கு தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள்.[1][2][3]

The Cuban government regards the US presence in Guantánamo Bay as illegal and insists the 1903 Treaty was obtained by threat of force and is in violation of international law.
