இந்தியாவில் உள்ள ஓர் இனக்குழு

தமிழ்நாட்டைப் பிறப்பிடமாகக் கொண்ட தெலுங்கு மக்களை தமிழ்நாட்டுத் தெலுங்கர் என்பர். முதலாம் குலோத்துங்க சோழன் காலத்தில் தெலுங்கு மக்கள் ஆந்திராவில் இருந்து தமிழகம் வந்து குடியேறினர் [1]பின்பு நாயக்கர் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் அதிக அளவில் குடியேறினர் [2]. 2001-ஆம் ஆண்டு கணக்கெடுப்பின்படி தமிழ்நாட்டில் 5.65 % தெலுங்கு பேசும் வசிக்கின்றனர் [3][4][5] . தமிழகத்தில் பல சமூகத்தினர் தெலுங்கு மொழி பேசுகின்றனர் [6]

சென்னை தொகு

பிரித்தானியர் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின்போது தென்னிந்தியாவில் மெட்ராஸ் முக்கிய இடமாக இருந்தது. ஆகவே, குறிப்பிடத்தக்க அளவில் தெலுங்கு மக்கள் சென்னைக்கு குடிபெயர்ந்தனர். தெலுங்குத் திரைப்படத்துறையும் சென்னையிலேயே இயங்கியது. பின்னாளில், மொழிவாரி மாநிலங்கள் பிரிக்கப்பட்ட போதும், சென்னையின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிலும் குடியிருந்தனர். தெலுங்கு மொழிப் பள்ளிகள் சிலவும் இயங்குகின்றன. தெலுங்கு திரைப்படங்களும் சில திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகின்றன. அண்மைக் காலங்களில், சென்னையை ஒட்டிய ஆந்திர மாநிலப் பகுதிகளில் வாழும் மக்கள் சென்னைக்கு வேலை தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

பிற பகுதிகள் தொகு

தமிழகத்தின் பிற பகுதிகளில் வாழும் தெலுங்கர்கள் விழுக்காட்டளவில் குறைவு. இவர்களில் பெரும்பான்மையோர் பேச்சளவில் கொச்சைத் தெலுங்கைப் பேசுவர். இவர்கள் தமிழை தங்கள் இரண்டாம் தாய்மொழியாகக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்.

தெலுங்கு ஊடகம் தொகு

தெலுங்கு நாளேடுகளான ஈநாடு, சாக்‌ஷி, ஆந்திர ஜோதி, வார்த்தா ஆகியன சென்னைக்கென்று தனிப் பதிப்பில் வெளிவருகின்றன. புதிய தெலுங்குத் திரைப்படங்கள் சென்னையில் உள்ள திரையரங்குகளில் திரையிடப்படுகின்றன.
