ஆரல் இசுடெயின்
சர் மார்க் ஆரல் இசுடெயின், (Sir Marc Aurel Stein)[1] (26 நவம்பர் 1862 - 26 அக்டோபர் 1943) அங்கேரி நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த பிரிட்டிசு தொல்லியல் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர் ஆவார்.[2] இவர் முதன்மையாக மத்திய ஆசியாவில் தனது ஆய்வுகளுக்காகவும் தொல்பொருள் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்காகவும் பெயர் பெற்றவர். இந்தியப் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் பேராசிரியராகவும் இருந்தார்.

இசுடெயின் ஒரு இனவியலாளரும், புவியியலாளரும், மொழியியலாளரும், நில அளவையாளரும் ஆவார். துன்குவாங் குகைகளிலிருந்து கண்டுபிடிக்கபட்ட புத்தகங்கள் மற்றும் கையெழுத்துப் பிரதிகளின் தொகுப்பு மத்திய ஆசியாவின் வரலாறு மற்றும் பௌத்தத்தின் கலை மற்றும் இலக்கியம் பற்றிய ஆய்வுக்கு முக்கியமானது. பண்டைய கோட்டான், செரிந்தியா , இன்னர்மோஸ்ட் ஆசியாவை உள்ளடக்கிய இடங்களில் தான் மேற்கொண்ட பயணங்களைப் பற்றியும், கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் குறித்தும் இவர் பல தொகுதிகளை எழுதியுள்ளார்.
