வைக்கலாம் எதுவும் தடையில்லை. ஆனால் முதற்பக்கத்தில் காட்சி படுத்துவதா வேண்டாமா என்பது முதற்பக்கத்தை பரமரிப்போர் தீர்மானிப்போம். in en wiki two kinds of templates are there 1) unreferenced - if there are no references 2) refimprove - if the article is partially referenced. If the source you added covers every statement made in the article remove the template altogether. If your source only covers some sentences and doesnt cover others add refimprove tag instead.

Jean FILLIOZAT

வணக்கம் !

I would like to create a Tamil Wikipedia page on the French indologist whose name is "Jean FILLIOZAT" (1906-1982).

He was a specialist of Tamil, has made French translations of திருப்பாவை and திருமுருகாற்றுப்படை and contributed in many ways to the visibility of Tamil studies in the French-speaking world.

Dear professor, Since we dont know the actual source of the images we cannot upload them to commons with a copyright tag. But there is a way around it. We can upload locally to tamil wikipedia with a fairuse claim as the subject is dead now. (commons doesnt accept fairuse images but local wikipedias can). Thanks a lot. I shall write a few sentences in my broken Tamil (my passive knowledge of Tamil is much greater than my active knowledge :-) I am sure that you, or my friend Selva (from Canada), will make my sentences grammatically correct.

An additional question, which will arise once I have done that, will be for me to understand how Wikipedia decides which pages in the Tamil Wikipedia correspond to pages in other Wikipedia because there are pages on Professor Jean Filliozat in at least FIVE wikis. See for instance the page in Latin "http://la.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ioannes_Filliozat"

The final question is the spelling in Tamil: what do you think of "ழான் ஃபில்லியோச"?

In French the stress is on the 3rd syllable (i.e. "யோ"), which is why I made it long.

However, some people might prefer the spelling "ழான் ஃபில்லியொசா"

Some people write "Jean" as ஃழான் but I don't like it because - there is no sanction for ஃழ in the தொல்காப்பியம் - (almost) every Tamilian knows how to pronounce ழான் but few have any clue about the pronunciation of ஃழான் (which is anybody's guess ... ;-)

wikipedia links articles on the same subject in different languages through interwiki links. They appear in the left panel under "ஏனைய மொழிகள்”. The first association has to be done manually by adding a link to atleast one other language wikipedia - the english wikipedia article can be linked by adding [[:en:Jean Filliozat]] at the bottom of the article. If atleast one association is made, the automated bots running in wikipedia will add the other language links themselves and add the tamil article link to the corresponding articles in other wikipedias. Even if the creator misses adding the first link, others like me who patrol newly created articles, usually finish the task.

As for tamil transcription, i am under qualified to hazard a guess as i have only high school level Tamil and absolutely zero French knowledge :-). Please chose a transcription which you deem the closest to the original French pronunciation. Wikipedia has a system of redirects (விக்கிப்பீடியா:வழிமாற்று) where by multiple titles can be made to point to a single article. Thus we can accomodate all alternate transcriptions. Please create the article with the title you chose (either ழான் or ஃழான்) and i will create a redirect for the other one. 1) ஏற்றவாரு FUR மாற்றிக் கொள்ளலாம். ஒரு வாரம் காட்சி படுத்தப்பட்ட உடன் நீக்கிவிடலாம். எனவே இதில் சிக்கல் இல்லை.
