இந்தியாவில் உள்ள ஓர் இனக்குழு

சகர்கள் (Saka) சிதியர்களின் மூலத்தை உடைய, யுரேசியப் புல்வெளிகளில் கால்நடைகளை மேய்த்த நாடோடி இன மக்கள் ஆவர்.[1][2][3] சகர் இன மக்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் வட இந்தியாவில் குடியேறினர்.[4] இவர்களின் வழித்தோன்றல்கள் தற்கால இந்தியா - பாகிஸ்தானில் இந்தோ சிதியன் பேரரசை நிறுவி, கிமு 200 முதல் கிபி 400 முடிய ஆண்டனர்.

தற்கால தாஷ்கண்ட், பெர்கானா, கஷ்கர் ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் வாழ்ந்த இவர்களை சீனர்கள் ஸ்சீ (Sse) என்றும்; இந்தியர்கள் சகர்கள் என்றும் அழைத்தனர்.[5]
