விக்கிரம் பத்ரா
கேப்டன் விக்ரம் பத்ரா PVC (Captain Vikram Batra), (9 செப்டம் 1974 – 7 சூலை 1999) இந்தியப் படைத்துறைக் கல்விக்கூடட்டில் போர்க் கல்வி மற்றும் பயிற்சி முடித்த விக்ரம் பத்ரா இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் ரைபிள்சின் 13 படையணியில் இராணுவ அதிகாரியாக பணியில் சேர்ந்தார். இவர் ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் மாநிலத்தின் பாரமுல்லா மாவட்டத்தின் சோப்பூரில் பணியாற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்த போது, 1999-ஆம் ஆண்டில் நடைபெற்ற கார்கில் போரில், பாகிஸ்தானிய படைகளுக்கு எதிராக வீர தீரமாக போரிட்டு, பாக்கித்தானியப் படைத்தளங்களான 5140, 4875 மற்றும் 4875-ஐ கைப்பற்றி வீரமரணமடைந்தார்.[1] இவரது இறப்பிற்குப் பின், இவருக்கு இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் மிக உயரிய பரம் வீர் சக்கரம் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.[2]

2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு நேதாஜி ஜெயந்தி விழாவில், பெயரிடப்படாத 21 அந்தமான் நிக்கோபார் தீவுகளுக்கு பரம் வீர் சக்ரா விருது பெற்ற 21 வீரர்களின் பெயரை சூட்டுவதாக இந்திய அரசு அறிவித்தது. இதன்பொருட்டு விக்ரம் பத்ரவின் பெயரில் பத்ரா தீவு என ஒரு தீவுக்கு பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. [3]
